About Me - Developer by day, illustrator by night
My Background
Since I was very young, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw what I was watching in Disney films and Saturday morning cartoons. As I got older, this love never faded and eventually I went to college to study art and design. Since then, I have been a full time designer/developer and freelance Illustrator when time permits.
My Medium
I LOVE variety. I have used many different mediums, but these days I prefer to switch back and forth between a traditional sketch pad and a digital tablet, generally using Procreate, Photoshop and Illustrator. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style and that generally keeps things interesting.
My Inspiration
My earliest inspirations stem from the master character designs of Disney's nine old men, who created what most refer to as the classics, such as The Jungle Book and The Sword in the Stone. I then latched on to the likes of Brian Froud, Alan Lee, Terryl Whitlatch, Todd McFarlane, Simon Bisley and last but not least, Leonardo Davinci. I have done some cool stuff that not a lot of fellow artists can say, such as getting a grand tour of Disney Animation Studios, taking a Pixar Masterclass and meeting industry legends. When I was there at the studio it was discussed with me to be in the internship program there at Disney, but due to my circumstances at that time, it just wasn't in the cards. But, I truly believe everything happens for a reason.
